Why a behaviourist and not a dog trainer?
A trainer teaches commands. A behaviourist works out why a dog behaves the way it does and treats the cause. Ben is a Board Certified Canine Behaviourist with a psychology degree and a background in human behavioural health.
What is your training approach?
Positive, science-backed behaviour therapy. Reward-based, tailored to each dog, with no harsh tools.
Where do lessons happen?
In your home or in real-world settings like parks, across Geelong, the Bellarine, the Surf Coast and Melbourne.
Do you work with large or powerful dogs?
Yes, all breeds and sizes.
Do multiple dogs cost extra?
No. We never charge additional dog fees. We never charge travel fees or evening and weekend surcharges either.
What is your cancellation policy?
We need 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations incur a $25 fee.
Can you guarantee my dog will be fully trained?
No reputable professional can guarantee a dog will be fully trained in a fixed time. We give you the tools and coaching for lasting results.
Will you train my dog to bite?
No. Even police and military dogs have a history of misreading situations.
Do you offer refunds?
All payments are non-refundable. Exceptions are considered case by case.
Can I pay through the website?
No. We do not process payments through this website. Ben will arrange payment with you when your lesson is confirmed.
Can I invite Ben to speak at my event?
Yes. Ben is regularly invited to speak. Use the speaking enquiry on the contact page.
